Oops, it's been far too long since my last look at Voyager (sorry about that!) but I certainly haven't forgotten about this series of posts, or indeed Voyager itself which many fans believe started to really pick up in the quality of its stories from this third season. It was definitely harder to pick my five favourites this time around - as well as some episodes featuring events of long-term importance, there were also several 'lesser' episodes which have long been lodged in my memory too.
|Getting the captain tea? What a crawly bum-lick!|
Here, however, it seems they ended up in the Delta Quadrant as Voyager finds them posing as gods on a primitive planet. It's nice to see a nod to a previous show and it's a fun episode. There's also an appearance from pesky Q who drags Janeway into the Continuum's civil war, Harry and Tuvok both fall for the same holodeck character who may not be a mere character after all, and Janeway gets killed by the heinous Vidiians multiple times in an interesting 'time-loop' episode.
|"You will give it to me, or I will pluck your heart out!"|
In this one, the crew of Voyager are seemingly being replaced one-by-one by some rather bemused aliens. Perhaps they know more about what's going on that they're letting on though, who knows? Anyway, these pre-Top Five segments are getting too big now, so here are the five season three episodes I plumped for:
Basics Part 2 (Episode 1)
The Chute (Episode 3)
Future's End (Episodes 8 & 9)
Worst Case Scenario (Episode 25)
Scorpion Part 1 (Episode 26)
Look out for my Season Four picks soon!
